My upbringing instilled in me the values of hard work, diligence, honesty, respect for others, and the fear of God, while the Nigerian state provided me with a quality formal education. However, through my extensive travels across the country, I have observed that while intelligence and energy are evenly distributed, opportunities are not. As a result, many are denied the chance to live their lives to the fullest.

I feel a deep obligation to give back because of the wonderful life and opportunities I have received from the Nigerian state. I have decided to devote a significant part of my life to contributing my time, money, and skills to worthy causes where I can make a difference.

As we work towards building a great Nigeria, one of our highest priorities must be the well-being of our children and the less privileged. The vision of a new society should be evident in our efforts to address the needs of our youth and those in need. It is my firm belief that the true measure of a society’s soul is revealed in how it treats its children and the less privileged.

The Foundation is all about opening doors of opportunity and unlocking the potential of our youth and the less privileged. Our primary goal is to empower them to engage positively and succeed in all aspects of life, preparing them for a better future. Our actions, policies, and the institutions we create should be imbued with care, respect, and love.

These are the principles that led me to establish the Oladele Oyelola Foundation. The Foundation provides a means for people, including myself, to make a direct contribution to alleviating the struggles of Nigerians in need. The establishment of the Oladele Oyelola Foundation is timely, representing a focused effort to mobilize our energies, experiences, and resources to give back to the community and the nation that has given us so much. It is founded on the belief that while we can make a small difference as individuals, together, as an institution, our collective efforts will make a vast impact.
